It’s press day season, which means we’ve been crisscrossing the city getting a sneak peek at the Spring/Summer 2012 collections from our favourite brands. In a way, press days are almost more exciting than fashion month because we get to see how the high street has interpreted the trends that started life on the catwalk – turning outlandish looks into clothes that we’ll actually want to buy and wear next season. So camera phone in one hand and canapé in the other, we picked the strongest looks which will dominate the fashion landscape next season – and here’s a sneak peek at the pieces to look out for when they hit the shops next February…
Karen Millen gave us a rainbow bright rail of clothes ranging from apple green through royal purple and fluoro orange to sunshine yellow. Structured dresses and beautiful graphic prints had a distinctly catwalk feel to them – these were grown-up, wearable clothes with a fashion-forward edge.
