It's the collection Topshop has been trying to keep under wraps for months and despite some pictures leaking online has been fashion's best kept secret. But now finally Christopher Kane's eagerly anticipated autumn/winter 2009 collection for Topshop is upon us. The 27-year-old Glaswegian and current darling of the fashion world has joined forces with the high street store to launch his biggest and, according to insiders, best Topshop collection to date. It's good news for fans of the designer's main line collections, as the new Topshop line has strong echoes of his previous ranges. The 39-piece collection, the biggest designer Topshop collaboration to date, features bundles of skirts, jackets, skinny jeans and dresses heavily embellished with eyelets, mirrors, lace and leather, as well as mesh bodies, high waisted knickers, pretty tunics and sexy body-con dresses in a colour palette of baby pink, lemon, cream, plum and black. In a nod to the iconic gorilla print dress from his spring/summer 2009 collection, Kane has once again turned to nature for inspiration using a close up of a crocodile's jaw emblazoned on a jersey block T-shirt and dress, two of the stand-out pieces from the line. The range also boasts off-duty items, such as embellished grey marl tracksuits and hoodies, as well as accessories, including leather pouch bags, tassel adorned box bags, ankle boots and platform sandals with lashings of mesh and cut-out detail.

The range, which is priced from £40 to £160, hits the shop floor and the web on Friday 18 September, but you can shop the collection before anyone else this Thursday 17 September with a Topshop style advisor appointment.
