RetroSun's designer vintage sunglasses collection is better than ever for autumn/winter 2009.

Sunglasses tend to inexplicably drop off the fashion radar around August time, but who hasn't been caught short on a chilly autumn day when the sun is glaring? Somehow, the shades that looked so great with our bikini-bronzed look in Ibiza don't quite cut it now we're bundled up in our camel coats and of-the-moment snoods.

Step forward RetroSun, the vintage designer sunglasses store that has had the entire handbag.com fashion team oohing and ahhing over its newly-arrived autumn/winter 2009 look book.

Established in 2006 by Nicole Miller, who happened upon a warehouse of never-worn vintage sunglasses and was inspired to start sourcing similar stock from all over the world, RetroSun is the one-stop online shop for the likes of Cheryl Cole and Mischa Barton to find designer sunnies that no one else is wearing. And we don't mind saying that the latest collection looks like its strongest yet.

This season, '70s label Charles Jourdan joins a stellar designer portfolio that also includes Gucci, Missoni, Christian Dior, Paloma Picasso, Porsche Design and Cazal. Each pair of original frames is pimped with optical quality class one lenses that surpass present EEC optical requirements, and customers can even opt to have prescription lenses added pre-checkout. What's not to love?

Well, one thing, actually. Because they're all genuine vintage artefacts, the designs are only available in very limited numbers.
