Ever wanted to take a sneak peek at one of your favourite fashion designers at work and see what goes into making one their show-stopping creations? From tomorrow, fans of Gareth Pugh can do just that in a new interactive project with photographer Nick Knight and SHOWstudio SHOP.
In a first of its kind, a webcam video of Sunderland-born Pugh at work in his temporary studio, located within the SHOWstudio SHOP space in London, will be streamed live on to the ground-breaking fashion and art website SHOWstudio.com.
The first in a series of exclusive events - the brainchild of British snapper and SHOWstudio director Knight - 28-year-old Pugh will be filmed creating a unique garment based on one of the pieces from his spring/summer 2010 collection. The item will also be shot by Knight on 24 November, and then sold exclusively in the SHOWstudio store.
It's not the first time Pugh has used video to showcase his work. Last season, the award-winning designer swapped his usual catwalk show for an edgy, black and white film to present his autumn/winter 2009 collection.
Pugh will set up residence in the SHOWstudio space on the 20, 23 and 24 November. Visit SHOWstudio.com from tomorrow to view the creative process.
