Victoria Beckham's autumn/winter collection arrives in stores this week. Priced between £900 and £5,000, it falls into the high end designer category.
At these prices, shoppers will be expecting a certain level of quality, and this is reflected in the fabrics she uses: fine textured wool, stretch felt and mélange cashmere for day, and playful bouclés, sumptuous morocains and rich shot silks for night.
The range introduces a new, shorter length, while continuing the hourglass silhouette she has become known for. Several cape styles in felt and silk have also been added.
Beckham received favourable reviews for the collection when she showcased it during New York Fashion Week last February. "I wanted to explore new design elements such as peplum bustles and strong shoulder details as well as a variety of dress lengths. It's about defining signatures like interior corsetry or the exposed zipper. These clothes are for the woman who dresses up and pays attention to every detail," she says.
Arriving in store this week at Harrods, Selfridges and net-a-porter
