It's time to channel your inner army officer as the Angels military uniform sale is back. Following on from the success of last year's first ever public sale, the Oscar-winning costumers have swung open their doors once more to sell more than 250,000 authentic military items and equipment.
Ever since Christophe Decarnin at Balmain unleashed his drummer boy jackets onto the catwalk several seasons ago, the military trend has refused to go away. And now, thanks to the famous costume suppliers, you can snap up an original garment without the hefty price tag.
All the pieces up for grabs - think military jackets, hats, leather items and full uniforms displayed over three large rooms - are original war-era clothing dating as far back as 1900. Each piece comes with a little slice of film history too, after being used in famous war flicks, including Saving Private Ryan and The Great Escape, as well as Steven Spielberg's World War II TV series Band Of Brothers and comedy favourite Dad's Army. What's more, they are a snip, with all items priced between £5 and £20 - making this sale a must for fashion fans and collectors of costume pieces.
There will be an admission fee of £5 per person at the sale with pieces charged at a fixed rate per item. Coats, tunics, blouson jackets and helmets will cost £20 each, while trousers, breeches and caps cost £10. Small pieces of equipment are priced at £5.
The Angels uniform sale will take place on Saturday 28 November from 8.30am to 5pm at the Angels Warehouse, 1st Floor, Courtenay Road, Wembley, HA9 7ND.
