Hip British label PPQ has announced today that it will open a series of pop-up shops throughout 2009. The so-called "Jackdaw Store", which situated within London's historic Burlington Arcade will be the first to open, will launch on the day of the label's autumn/winter 2009 catwalk show during London Fashion Week. This is exciting news for all of the label's fans - who include Peaches Geldof (an ex designer for the brand) and Lily Allen (who wears the dress, pictured left, in her new music video, see below) - who have been missing their PPQ fix since the closure of its Conduit Street store last year. Visitors to the new shop will be able to browse the collection in surroundings devised to feel like a sumptuous dining room, with innovative features such as Fabergé egg-style display cases which unfold to reveal the much-loved party clothes and then recoil to transform the store into an open gallery space or dining room.
