Following in the footsteps of self-appointed lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie has now launched a website of her own. Nicolerichie.celebbuzz.com is a portal into the life of a Hollywood celebrity, where viewers can watch the star getting ready for a public event, browse her magazine shoots, and even find out what music she's currently listening to (Bowie, T.Rex and Dire Straits, as it turns out). She also shares childcare tips, sells pieces from her new jewellery line, House of Harlow and talks about the charity she set up with boyfriend Joel Madden, the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation. Signing up isn't easy however, as this writer discovered: click on the "new user" button and one is told "this website is currently closed to public registrations. You will need an invitation code to register." There is no indication, however, where one finds this all-access pass. We can get close, it seems, but not that close.
