We just couldn't contain our excitement when news reached us that shoe designer of the moment Nicholas Kirkwood is to team up with womenswear label Peter Pilotto on a special footwear collection.
Kirkwood, Pilotto and his co-designer Christopher Vos will design two pairs of shoes for the collection, which will debut during the Peter Pilotto spring/summer 2011 show at London Fashion Week in September. The two styles will then be available to buy in-store from spring 2011.
The German shoe designer, who counts Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller and Cheryl Cole as fans of his statement architectural heels, has created show shoes for the likes of Erdem, Rodarte and Peter Pilotto before, but the catwalk shoes for the latter were never available to buy.
We can't wait to see the results.
