Mischa Barton is to design a headband line for American accessories designer Stacey Lapidus. The 22-year old actress already designs her own handbags, which sell at department stores including Debenhams in the UK. According to Women's Wear Daily, the venture came about after Lapidus spotted Mischa wearing a headband in a paparazzi photo. "She's definitely known for being bohemian and for her hippie look, but then you will turn a page and see her in head-to-toe Chanel," she told the paper. "I tried to put both the bohemian and the classic into the collection." Called Mischa Barton For Stacey Lapidus, the line contains six pieces, decorated variously with pearls, sequins and other adornments. While Mischa's own style has often been questioned of late, with bloggers suggesting she only looks good when she hires a stylist, other, consistently chic celebrities such as Nicole Richie have been spotted wearing headbands recently, which indicates it could turn into a major trend.
