Paper Planes may be one of the best pop singles of 2008, however MIA is not resting on her brightly coloured, crazily patterned laurels. Her eclectic aesthetic of loud, punchy nu-rave style has led to her launching her own fashion label, called Extended Merch, inspired by her album covers. The line, sold on Karmaloop.com, comprises of t-shirts, bodysuits and leggings (all priced under £100, with her friend, model Okley Leslie acting as co-designer). Perhaps MIA - who is expecting her first child - was inspired by her appearance in last season's Marc By Marc Jacobs advertising campaign to design her own pieces.
