We thought their relationship was one of the strongest in fashion, but we're sad to report that designer Marc Jacobs and his fiancé Lorenzo Martone have decided to end their relationship.
American Marc and Brazilian Lorenzo, an advertising executive, became engaged in March 2009 followed by rumours of hush-hush marriage ceremonies for months.
However, the pair never married and Martone confirmed the split this weekend via his Twitter page.
He posted: "Thanks for t notes. Yes, I saw t press today. We are not together, haven't been in 2 months. And we will not comment on it. Sorry. We r fine [sic]."
Marc Jacobs offered no comment.
