Madonna has found time in her jam-packed schedule to pose for next season's Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear campaign. The pictures, which were released today by the company and will appear in magazines next February, are the result of a meeting of the crème de la crème of the fashion industry: Marie-Amélie Sauvé (stylist for Paris Vogue and numerous top fashion houses), British make-up artist Pat McGrath and hair stylist Garren join photographer Steven Meisel (who shot Madonna for her notorious Sex book in 1992) for the Marc Jacobs'-designed line. The ads show Madonna playing cabaret dancer in a setting reminiscent of a traditional Paris café, complete with zinc bar, white tablecloths and plumes of cigarette smoke curling through the air. In one of the images she sits astride one of the bentwood chairs, raising a perfect fishnet-clad leg to show off a towering criss-cross heel; she also wears a Louis Vuitton Kalahari bag over her shoulder. "I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual, very atmospheric," Marc Jacobs said in a statement. "To carry off all these references and all this sophistication, we needed the ultimate performer - and for me, that is Madonna."
