The rumour mill is buzzing that Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant is in talks to launch her own fashion line. If, like us, you tune in to the award winning show as much for the 1960s American fashion as the plotlines, you will be hoping the rumours are true. The cocktail dresses, sexy pencil skirts and candy coloured twin-sets have become the signature look of lead characters Betty Draper and Joan Holloway and, it seems, have already influenced the catwalk, with Michael Kors' autumn/winter 2009 collection bearing more than a passing resemblance. Bryant, who creates a whopping 200 costumes per episode, is keeping schtum about the proposed line, but if true, fans can expect a collection inspired by the classic American look of the show's wardrobe. Bryant was reported as saying: "I'm working on some things right now. I hate to be so mysterious but I really can't say! It would have my name attached to it though." We can't wait.
