Fab news for die-hard supporters of London fashion: she of the technically-staggering knits, Louise Goldin, is branching out into footwear for the new season.
Thanks to Topshop, the New Gen-supported designer has put the fierce court shoes first unveiled on her spring/summer 2010 catwalk into production and they'll be hitting stores in time for the kick off of London's upcoming show season in February.
The debut capsule collection features two closed-toe designs in a muted palette of black, cream and rose. Inspired by the '90s revival with a Baroque twist thrown in, one version has studs on the toe and a diamante-smothered heel, while the other has a diamante-encrusted toe with studs bringing up the rear.
"The pastel colours and stones represent opulence and glamour; the studs give the shoes a very 'cool', tough edge," explains Goldin, who elsewhere in the catwalk collection presented exposed corsetry and beautiful beruffled mini dresses in Parma violet shades.
Update your wardrobe from 5 February - the shoes will be hitting the shelves at selected Topshop stores and online at topshop.com, priced £150.
