Now that's what we call a birthday present: to celebrate Sefridges' 100th anniversary, Louis Vuitton has launched its Neverfull bag. The tote, made in Damier canvas, is exclusive to Selfridges' Oxford Street and Manchester branches for six weeks (starting from tomorrow), after which it will be available in other Louis Vuitton stores.
Originally launched in the traditional LV monogram canvas (and also part of the Stephen Sprouse collection for Louis Vuitton), the so-called Neverfull is available in three sizes: small (£380), medium (£405) and large (£430), the largest of which comes with adjustable straps. The dark brown and caramel chequered Damier canvas, created by the house in 1888, was relaunched in 1996 with a collection of luxury travel goods.
While Sofia Coppola's new shoe and bag collection for Louis Vuitton may be getting all the attention right now (most recently spotted on the arm of Kate Moss), it's the Damier Neverfull's quiet elegance that will no doubt stand the test of time.
