With London Fashion Week just days away the British Fashion Council, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this fashion week, has announced the winners of this year's Fashion Forward sponsorship.
Christopher Kane, Erdem Moralioglu and Marios Schwab have won British Fashion Council funding for the third consecutive season. The designers will receive financial support to be used towards producing a catwalk show during London Fashion Week. The award gives them access to a range of advisors to help boost their business' international reach, as well as support from the British Fashion Council.
Glasgow-born Kane, who also designs a collection for Versace's Versus label, said, "I'm thrilled to have been awarded Fashion Forward by the BFC. This will be my seventh show at London Fashion Week and without its support I would not have had the ability to present the show in the way that I would want."
The scheme, supported by the London Development Agency, was established three years ago to provide funding for emerging British designers. Previous winners include Giles Deacon, Jonathan Saunders, Richard Nicoll and Roksanda Illincic.
