He'll be flashing his bits, but not in that way. Kinder Aggugini, the London-based fashion designer who debuted his catwalk collection during London Fashion Week last February, will be hosting a pop-up shop next September during the spring/summer 2010 shows in one of the capital's most prestigious shopping locales.
The flash boutique will open in a basement on Mount Street in Mayfair - alongside Balenciaga, Lanvin and Marc Jacobs - and will feature one-off pieces from his previous collections, as well as photographic images, artists' paintings, and a unique selection of vintage Chanel jewellery from a private collector. "It should be so much more than just fashion," according to Kinder.
Kinder, known within the fashion industry by his first name, is a Central Saint Martins graduate. He worked for John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith before setting up his own label, which gained momentum a few seasons ago after it found favour with fashion stylist Charlotte Stockdale and model Erin O'Connor.
The Kinder Aggugini Pop Up Store will be open from 19 September 2009 to 31 October 2009, from Thursday to Saturday. Other days will be by appointment only via sales@aggugini.com. Kinder Aggugini Boutique, Lower Ground, 35 South Audley Street, Mayfair, London W1.
