In a move that must have shocked all her designer mates, Kate Moss chose to wear a selection of dresses by a relatively unknown designer who she met on the set of one of her Rimmel ads for her 35th birthday celebrations at the weekend. But even more surprising, the designer in question - Kate Halfpenny - is in fact a bridal designer! Could there be any truth to the rumours that Kate and long term boyfriend Jamie Hince secretly tied the knot at the elaborate medieval themed bash?
La Moss arrived in a beautiful black sheer polka-dot tulle 1930s dress with a six foot train, before changing into the same dress in three different colours - red, yellow and cream. She initially saw a vintage dress belonging to Halfpenny and fell in love with it, so the two girls set about recreating it for the big occassion. Halfpenny is quick to point out that she doesn't just design bridal wear "I'm predominantly a celebrity stylist and dress lots of girls including Erin O'Connor & Emelia Fox" she says. Whatever the truth, she is sure to see her business sky-rocket after this exposure - if Kate Moss wears something you can guarantee a thousand other girls will follow - especially as her couture dresses start at £2500.
