Jil Sander's highly anticipated collected for Uniqlo has been christened +J, it has been announced. As we reported back in March, the German designer will also oversee all aspects of the making of the men's and womenswear lines, starting with the autumn/winter 2009 collection. The +J line will consist of about 100 pieces for womenw and 40 for men, and will be sold in Uniqlo's flagship stores around the world and on its website.
Details of what the collection will look like are being kept secret, however a photo published with the press release shows a crisp, plain white shirt, in keeping with Sander's minimalist aesthetic.
Sander quit her eponymous label back in 2004, and has until now been absent from the fashion industry.
