Katie Grand sure knows to pull a crowd. Drawing on her extensive reach of cool celebrity pals, the stylist and editor of Love magazine attracted a glamorous bunch of fashion people to an event she co-hosted with Pixie Geldof and Leigh Lezark at the Hogan boutique on Sloane Street last night. In a burgundy Azzedine Alaïa dress with matching, towering snakeskin heels, the über-stylist chatted with the likes of Lily Cole, Beth Ditto and Luella Bartley.
Cole, who was wearing a long, two-tone Jean Paul Gaultier blazer and a red print Alexander McQueen scarf over her willowy frame, said she was in attendance as a friend of Grand. "We've got to know each other through work over the years", she said. She will be attending The Cannes Film Festival this week for the opening of Terry Gilliam's fantasy flick The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus, in which she stars with Johnny Depp and the late Heath Ledger.
Designers Jonathan Saunders, Roksanda Ilincic, and Henry Holland all joined in the fun, which was in celebration of Hogan's new Hippie Logo Collection, which uses an innovative leather printing technology. A portion of sales will benefit Best Buddies, a charity which helps people with intellectual difficulties.
