Nothing planned for Friday night? Then we have just the thing for you. French Connection will play host to a Mad Hatters' party on 27 March at London's V&A Museum. French Connection Friday Late, the last in a series of Friday night events hosted by the high street store, will treat attendees to a special late night viewing of milliner Stephen Jones' Hats: An Anthology exhibition, currently showing at the V&A, which charts the history of the hat.
Visitors will get the chance to make their own headgear and customise old pieces in the Refashion a Hat workshop, while artist Kate Tilley will be on hand to show how to spruce-up a baseball cap. There will also be a Victorian style photo booth where you can be papped wearing hats by John Boyd and James Locke. What's more, you can listen to talks on all things hats and fashion, including a speech from the man himself, Stephen Jones.
The V&A café will host a tea party with yummy treats and a live performance by Fitzrovia Radio Hour, a group of actors who perform radio plays from the 40s and 50s. If that wasn't enough, French Connection and i-D have teamed up to co-host an Easter Bonnet Parade of designer-made paper hats using pages of the magazine.
French Connection Friday Late is free and takes place on 27 March from 6.30 pm - 10.00 pm.
