After much will she, won't she speculation, rising fashion star Georgia Jagger has been named as the new face of Versace.
The 17-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger and Texan model turned actress Jerry Hall has been signed up to star in the Italian brand's spring/summer 2010 campaign. Jagger, who is already the face of Hudson Jeans and recently bagged a contract with cosmetics brand Rimmel London, will be shot by Mario Testino in her first major campaign for a leading fashion house, replacing the label's current stars, Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen and Kate Moss. The teenager, who has inherited her mother's tumbling blonde mane and her father's famous pout, will follow in Hall's footsteps, who herself fronted campaigns for Versace in the late '70s and early 80s.
In other campaign news, Daisy Lowe - another young, fashionable London It girl - has been snapped up by Louis Vuitton. The 20-year-old model will star in ads for the luxury French label's new beachwear collection, with the images appearing in the brand's January press kit. The pictures, which were shot in Miami at the weekend, will promote the new Louis Vuitton beach range of ready-to-wear clothes, bags and accessories.
