Wedding Belles

marchesa, georgina chapman Georgina Chapman wears Marchesa gown

If you’re planning a glamorous Hollywood style wedding but can’t find the right dress your prayers are about to be answered. Red carpet favourites Marchesa are about to launch a capsule bridal collection that is set to hit stores next month. Judging by past collections the designs are sure to be show-stoppers, which is why the duo of Georgina Chapman (left) and Keren Craig have A-listers knocking down their door to snap up their gowns for all the most fabulous premieres and parties. And Georgina knows a thing or two about what a bride wants to wear on her big day, she tied the knot with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein in December and has also designed the dress for Coleen McLoughlin’s upcoming nuptials to Wayne Rooney this summer.

X Appeal

Kylie Minogue, jean paul gaultier Jean Paul Gaultier designs for Kylie tour Way back in 1990 when Madonna wanted to sex up her Blond Ambition world tour, she called on iconic fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier to give her a helping hand. He obliged with that conical bra and the rest is fashion history. So who better for princess of pop Kylie to tap up to give her upcoming tour that certain je ne sais quoi. She has approached the affable Frenchman to create the couture stage outfits for ‘KylieX2008\' which kicks off in Paris on 6 May and, keeping with the French theme, she has also been posing for iconic photography duo Pierre et Gilles for her tour imagery. In true Kylie stylee the whole event is shaping up to be a visual extravaganza.

London\'s Square Mile saw the opening of a new concept store by perennial Brit favourite Ted Baker yesterday. Going by the name of Ted Baker & Friends, the 4,000 sq ft store is set to become a one-stop shop for all the ultra-busy business folk and bankers that populate the area. Alongside all Ted\'s usual men and women\'s clothing and accessory ranges you can call on the services of Baker\'s Butler, a pay-as-you-go concierge service that promises to help you sort anything from dog grooming to organising a party. Gentlemen can stay looking dapper with assistance from Sweeney Ted\'s barbers and there\'s a mini Carphone Warehouse gadget shop. To make sure you get a perfect fit there\'s an in-store tailor and, best of all, there\'s Ted\'s Shine And Dandy, a complimentary bag and shoe shine service provided by social enterprise scheme Street Shine, which gives those who have experienced homelessness a chance to earn a regular income.
