Claudia Schiffer at the Chanel couture show 2008
The Spring 2008 couture shows have been in full swing in Paris this week, with Armani Prive, Dior, Chanel and Christian Lacroix among the participants. Beyonce and Jay-Z rocked the scene at Armani, while Claudia Schiffer, left, Natalia Vodianova and Dita Von Teese were among the celebrities adding paparazzi interest. Valentino, who took his final bow as a fashion designer at the end of his show (with Alessandra Facchinetti set to take over next month) on Wednesday night, was the talking point of the week.

High street fashion newsflash: model-of-the-moment (still) and groovy girl about town Agyness Deyn has been chosen as the face of Giles Deacon\'s new Gold collection for New Look.
Over at H&M, the staff are gearing up for the opening of their spanking new UK flagship store, opening on Valentine\'s Day on London\'s Regent Street. A swanky party for fashion press and celebrities will take place instore the night before the grand opening on 14 February. As for regular customers - goody bags will be handed out to those queing outside before the shop opens at midday (so you don\'t have to get up too early), and the first 500 people to buy something will receive a 25% discount. Form an orderly line, ladies.

Dita Von Teese
Iconic underwear brand Wonderbra has just announced its first ever celebrity guest designer - with Dita Von Teese. The undisputed queen of the burlseque scene, pictured here at the Paris couture 2008 shows this week, has also become a fixture on the fashion scene, reguarly turning up at fashion shows and parties. The other, and perhaps more obvious, reason for the teaming-up is Dita\'s rather splendid - albeit surgically enhanced - decolletage. "I\'ve been passionate about beautiful lingerie my entire life...I really hope that I will add a touch of glamour to people\'s everyday lives", said the raven-haired star. Scheduled for launch in September, will the Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese collection feature Dita in the ads? And can Wonderbra come up with a slogan to beat the famous "Hello, boys" of Eva Herzigova fame?

Now here\'s something that, quite frankly, we\'re surprised hadn\'t happened earlier: iconic British fashion brand Jaeger has announced that it will be showing Jaeger London at London Fashion Week. The show, taking place on 10 February, will feature the Autumn / Winter 2008 collection, designed by Karen Boyd together with Jaeger\'s in-house team of experts. A spokesperson for the brand said that "it is an important milestone" for the brand. Will they cope with fashion heavyweights Luella, Paul Smith and Giles? Let\'s wait and see.
And speaking of London Fashion Week (running 10 - 15 February), Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge is once again screening the shows in its cafe on the top floor. What better way to watch the shows than from the comfort of a comfy seat and a skinny latte?

Cutler & Gross sunglasses for Mulberry
Mulberry is getting bigger and bigger. As we reported last week, hotshot shoe designer Jonathan Kelsey has been hired to design a range for Autumn. But if you can\'t wait until then, why not pick up a pair of Cutler & Gross sunglasses designed especially for the luxury British fashion brand? The collection, comprising five different styles, showcases a small history from the archives of Cutler & Gross dating back from the bold block colours of the early 80s (and very fashionable right now) to the wire framed styles of the 90s. Each pair comes with a case made of patent coloured leather. Handmade in Italy and France, the shades are on sale exclusively in Mulberry\'s Bond Street store in London, and retail at £225.

Heath Ledger
Were Heath Ledger and Helena Christensen an item? Following the sad news of the actor\'s passing, the Danish supermodel told Women\'s Wear Daily, "I am just beyond sad at this point, and shocked...I was on my way over to pay him a visit when I found out. I had just left him a message and heard his voice on the machine...This is immensely sad." Ledger, who attended a few fashion events during last New York fashion week (including the Marc Jacobs show), rhad eportedly turned up at the Calvin Klein aftershow party at the Gramercy Park Hotel with Christensen.
