Having spent the last year being described as “model of the moment”, recent news suggests that for some, Agyness Deyn’s moment might have passed. A Burberry insider told London’s Metro that Agy has been dropped as the face of the label, as photographer Mario Testino believes she’s become over-exposed. The source said: “She was just a flash in the pan. Last year she was quirky, but now she is challenging Moss in the fame stakes by positioning herself everywhere. That kind of popularity just hasn’t sat well with Mario, who is looking for something different”. Deyn has enjoyed a fast rise to fame, becoming a regular on the celebrity circuit, and recently recording her first single. Testino, described as Burberry’s advertising ‘visionary’, is rumoured to be lining up 21-year-old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as her replacement. A spokesperson for Burberry said he was unable to comment at this time. Nikki Walker

Stella McCartney
Stella McCartney is going back to her roots. Or those of her dad, at any rate. To coincide with a concert by Sir Paul McCartney celebrating Liverpool\'s newly minted European City of Culture status, his daughter will host a presentation of her autumn/winter collection at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), in the Paul McCartney auditorium. Taking place on 1 June at 1pm, and including other as-yet-unannounced live acts, the concert is in celebration of Liverpool\'s newly minted European City of Culture status. All money raised from the Stella\'s show (tickets for which can be bought at Liverpool boutique Cricket), meanwhile, will benefit LIPA, Sir Paul\'s alma mater.
Tickets to the benefit event are being sold exclusively through Cricket.

Isabeli Fontana
One of the fashion packs favourite things to gossip about is who will be starring in next season’s advertising campaigns. As reported last week on handbag.com, Vanessa Paradis has been confirmed for Miu Miu, and Linda Evangelista is replacing Sasha Pivovarova at Prada. Not one to take a hit lying down, Pivovarova has only gone and bagged the Chanel campaign – one of the most prestigious spreads out there. Daria Werbowy, who has featured in both Prada and Chanel ads in the past, has just been shot by Craig McDean for her first Dior campaign. Brazilian babe Isabeli Fontana, meanwhile, seems to have trumped the lot, with campaigns for Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Belstaff and Pepe Jeans under her 24in belt. Alexander McQueen, who has not run adverts since 2003, has just announced 17-year-old model Alice Gibb, who opened his spring/summer 2008 show, will feature in a campaign shot by Steven Klein. Finally, Gwyneth Paltrow has been announced as the new face of Tod’s, a post previously manned (modelled?) by Sienna Miller. Paltrow has just finished shooting a short for the luxury leather goods house, soon to run on their website. Plenty to keep us occupied for the time being, then.

Gap Artist Edition T
Speaking of advertising, Gap has always been able to pull in a famous face, and this season is no exception. No less than supermodel legends Stephanie Seymour and Shalom Harlow have been persuaded to sit for a campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the high street brand. The reason? The collection of Artist Editions t-shirts, a limited edition of t-shirts designed by a raft of famous contemporary artists such as Jeff Koons and Chuck Close. Available in-store from 25th May, priced at £16.50 each, the cotton tees are part of Gap\'s sponsorship of the Whitney Museum\'s Biennial this year. Marka Hansen, president of Gap brand North America, said she was honoured to have the opportunity to get involved, saying that "this collaboration celebrates the intersection of art and fashion and enables people to access contemporary art in a different way." Seymour, meanwhile, has another reason to sit for the campaign: Jeff Koons, whose t-shirt she wears in the campaign, is a personal friend of her and her husband, and they both own several of his works.

Worries of a credit crunch aren\'t affecting everyone, as evidenced in Jenny Packham\'s announcement that she will be opening a flagship boutique on London\'s Mount Street. Known for her red-carpet friendly gowns, Packham has a fan base which includes Keira Knightley, Beyoncé and Eva Longoria. With the opening scheduled to coincide with London Fashion Week next September, the interior will have a Chinoiserie-inspired theme, featuring black marble surfaces and a palette of black and gold. Ever since Marc Jacobs set up shop in what was traditionally a road of tailor and cigar shops, the Mayfair enclave has seen the likes of Balenciaga and Christian Louboutin following suit; even The Connaught Hotel, long Catherine Deneuve\'s London hotel of choice, is currently undergoing a facelift.
