Who stole Kate\'s luggage?

kate moss,topshop Kate Moss

Like her pal Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss experienced first hand the luggage fiasco at Heathrow\'s Terminal 5. A story in the Sunday Mirror reported that British Airways had lost her luggage en route to Los Angeles. What made things worse was that the eight missing cases apparently contained samples of her new, and as yet unseen, Topshop collection. Photos showed a concerned-looking Kate, looking impossibly glamorous in spite of having just come off a long-haul flight, questioning LAX airport staff about her missing items, while simultaneously keeping an eye on five-year old daughter Lila Grace. BA were said to have paid her £10,000 in compensation. Danielle Radojcin

Heavy petal

celia,birtwell Celia Birtwell

Florals are big news in fashion this season. Which means that for Celia Birtwell, wife of the late Ossie Clark and a designer famous for her exuberant, petal-heavy prints, it\'s a time to shine. And to give something back. As well as her successful ongoing collaboration with Topshop, the ex-swinging \'60s icon has designed a one-off swimsuit to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Swimathon Foundation. The black, \'50s-style swimsuit, adorned with - what else - a pretty pink and white floral motif, comes in a limited run of 30, and can be won by visiting the swimathon.org website. Madonna knuckles down

Madonna,jewellery,ring Madonna

Despite her relevance and talent being questioned by the poison-penned Julie Burchill in Observer Women magazine last Sunday, Madonna is still an influence to be reckoned with in fashion terms, it seems. A piece in the Daily Mail reported that the jewellery Chopard has been flooded with requests for a bespoke diamond-encrusted knuckleduster, similar to the one worn by the ne plus ultra of female pop stars on the cover of her latest album, Hard Candy. The chunky ring, which spells out M-dolla, her assumed name for the album, contains 258 diamonds and will set the buyer back £500,000. Julie may be tired of her, but the rest of the world is  evidently still keen to emulate M-dolla. Danielle Radojcin

Tommy TV launches

tommy,hilfiger Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger is a brand for which music is a very part of its DNA. Following the launch of Tommy TV, a website dedicated to launching and promoting new bands across the world. The website, which has been launched with Sony BMG, YouTube and Joost, is an extension of the existing The Hilfiger Sessions, a series of music events in different cities around the world. Tommy TV will allow viewers to enjoy live performances, as well as backstage interviews and the chance to contribute their views on new artists. At the press launch, the designer spoke of his love of music, and how the music scene in London in the \'60s inspired him to become a designer: "I was a huge music fan of The Beatles and The Who, and I wanted to wear the kind of clothes they wore, but couldn\'t find a shop that sold them, so I decided to create my own." Art attack

uniqlo Uniqlo

Uniqlo continues to vie with Topshop for coolest-shop-on-the-high street status with the opening of The UT Gallery, a showcase for its ongoing UT Project with artists, celebrities (witness the recent, achingly hip pictures featuring Chloe Sevigny) and photographers to create over 700 new T-shirts a year. Situated just off Brick Lane in London\'s East End, in The Old Truman Brewery, the exhibition, which will run from 2 until 21 May 2008, features photos by Matt Irwin for the first Uniqlo global advertising campaign. The 2008 UT Project features T-shirt designs for both men and women, including a tribute to famed 1980 artist Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Manga magazines.  Danielle Radojcin
