As usual, Paris fashion week didn\'t disappoint. Alexander McQueen played tribute to the late Isabella Blow in his show, for which the latter\'s favourite milliner, Philip Treacy, created a range of exquisite headgear. Naomi Campbell flew in from Shanghai especially to attend. Chanel probably had the most glamorous front row, with Lily Allen and Courtney Love turning up, and starlet Rachel Bilson, who\'s just finished her latest film, Jumper, making it her first Paris show ever. Later, at the house\'s salons on Rue Cambon, a party was held to celebrate Kirsten Dunst\'s (bottom left) cover on the latest issue of Lula magazine. Sofia Coppola and Audrey Tatou also swung by.
Another star-studded event was Louis Vuitton, where Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Sophie Dahl were made to wait for over an hour for the show to start. Designer Marc Jacobs collaborated with artists Richard Prince on the bags, which had blurred logos, evidently in a witty take on the booming LV knockoff market.
How do French actresses manage to look so cool and so chic? Let\'s hear it for les filles: Elodie Bouchez, Julie Depardieu, Chanel muse Anna Mouglalis, and Swimming Pool star Ludivine Sagnier all graced countless front rows, as did the effervescent Clémence Poésy , who, along with fellow Chloe Sevigny and model Anja Rubik, partied at the launch of the new Chloe scent at the Hotel de Monnaie on the Left Bank. The three beauties (top left) feature in ads for the new perfume, available to buy next February. The Kills played, while Jessica Stam and Lily Cole danced the night away.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
Amy Winehouse, Peaches and Pixie Geldof, and Alice Dellal were among guests who attended an exclusive dinner at London\'s Harvey Nichols on Tuesday night to celebrate the Olsen twins\' label, The Row, (launched last year, and named after Savile Row) being sold exclusively at the store. (Although currently only available in the London branch, there are plans to also stock the line in Dublin.) Ms Winehouse, resplendent in a burnt orange Sinha Stanic dress teamed with the Jonathan Kelsey ‘Amy\' shoes (named in her honour), posed with Ashley and Mary-Kate. "They\'ve been so busy, it\'s the first time the pair have had a chance to come and see the range in London," a Harvey Nichols spokesperson said in explanation for the girls arriving a month after the clothes first hit the shop floor. "It\'s been selling amazingly well," he added.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) today announces the nominees for the 2007 British Fashion Awards sponsored by Swarovski. Designer Of The Year is an all-women affair, with Anya Hindmarch (who has also been nominated in the Accessory Designer category), Luella Bartley, and Stella McCartney (left, with Kate Hudson) (also up for Red Carpet Designer) all nominated. Best New Designer is, on the other hand, a male-only line-up, with Christopher Kane, Gareth Pugh and Marios Schwab making the grade. The Best New Retail Concept award will go to either Dover Street Market, The Shop at Bluebird, or Marc Jacobs, while the models up for a gong are Lily Cole, Agyness Deyn, and Irina Lazareaunu. This year sees the inaugural presentation of the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, to be awarded for ‘A British stylist, make-up artist, photographer, art director or producer whose creativity has been a major inspiration and influence in the past year.\' The awards, taking place on 27 November, will be decided by a panel of judges comprising leading fashion industry figures.

Lindsay Lohan
Talk about the power of a name. The French designer Hervé Leger, famous in the early ’90s for his body-hugging bandage dresses worn by the likes of Cindy Crawford, has been experiencing something of a renaissance. Well, not Hervé himself, but his name.
Following a legal dispute, Leger sold his company and changed his name to Hervé L. Leroux. He now operates on a much smaller scale from a tiny boutique on the Left Bank. His sexy dresses have not been forgotten, however, with actresses such as Lindsay Lohan (pictured) wearing them on the red carpet.
Designer Max Azria recently bought the rights to the Hervé Leger archive. When 25 of the dresses, slightly reworked, went on sale in Selfridges on Oxford Street – in tandem with an Hervé Leger window display - they sold out almost immediately (Elle Macpherson, old enough to have worn them the first time around, was among those to snap one up). Retailing at around £850, plans for a second shop drop are currently being discussed. Get in there quickly, girls!

Bridget Bardot’s favourite ballet slipper makers, Repetto, turns 60 this month. To celebrate, the French brand has corralled a group of 30 people, such as Chloe Sevigny, to design a pair of ballet flats each, currently on display in their Paris store. Jean Paul Gaultier has also created his version of the tutu for them. The exhibition will move to different cities in the months to come, with additional designs by the likes of model Jessica Stam (left, at Stella McCartney) being added.
