It's that time of year again: the results for the Fashion Fringe final are in. John Galliano and his fellow panel judges have announced that Alice Palmer, Corrie Nielson and Jade Kang will fight it out to be this year's Fashion Fringe winner.
Design legend Galliano, who has taken over from Donatella Versace as chairperson of Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden for 2010, was joined by a bunch of fashion industry movers and shakers - including Kate Moss, British Fashion Council chairman Harold Tillman, milliner Stephen Jones, photographer Nick Knight and designers Erdem and Gareth Pugh - at The Club at The Ivy over the weekend to reveal the trio of finalists.
On becoming chairperson of Fashion Fringe, Galliano set out a clear idea of what he was looking for in a winner. He said: "I'm hoping we find a rebel genius. I will look for someone who reminds me of me when I was starting out - someone original, unique, who has their own style and isn't afraid to try something new."
The three contenders will now go on to show their collections at London Fashion Week in September when the winner will be announced. Whoever does scoop the coveted prize will be in good company too, as past winners include Erdem, Basso & Brooke and last year's victors Jena.Theo.
