How disappointing: a spokesperson for Topshop has said there is "absolutely no truth" to the claims that Cheryl Cole is to design a line of clothes for Topshop. The News Of The World ran a piece last Sunday claiming that the X-Factor star, during a break in filming, had been chatting with Kate Moss about the possibility of doing something for the high street store. We think it's a shame. We would like to see what Cheryl would come up with... as long as she didn't feature too many tight mini dresses, of course. In the meantime, we're holding out on the rumours that Alexa Chung is doing something for New Look. Now that's something we'd really pay money to see (and buy).
Kate Moss, meanwhile, has had her contract with Topshop extended for a further three years. She said in a statement, " "The last two years have been an exciting experience, and Topshop has given me the perfect platform to develop my own collection, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I am really looking forward to working with the team on our new collections and thank everybody who already owns a piece of Kate Moss for Topshop!"
