Supermodel, mother and charity fundraiser, Natalia Vodianova has just added another string to her bow. The 26-year-old Russian beauty, who recently confided to handbag.com that her favourite shoe designer is Giuseppe Zanotti, has been signed as brand ambassador by French underwear label Etam. As well as modelling for the label, her contract includes designing a line of lingerie and swimwear. The Natalia pour Etam range will go on sale in European stores and online in April (availability in the UK was yet to be confirmed at time of press.)
"I wanted the line to be for women who are not afraid, who like to play," Vodianova said, adding, "What I realised when designing this is how feminine I am." The collection, which will run for the next three years, includes bodysuits and two-pieces, and in a move mirrored by Kate Moss' collections for Topshop, a nightgown inspired by a Victorian slip from Vodianova's own closet.
Although a high street brand, the Natalia pour Etam label was last week thrown a launch worthy of a luxury designer label; a catwalk show at the Ritz attended by the likes of Eva Herzigova, Charlotte Casiraghi and Lou Doillon.
