Not content with having glittering acting careers, involvement in humanitarian work and a picture perfect brood of kids, Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have turned their hand to jewellery design. The couple have teamed up with British luxury goods brand Asprey to create a capsule collection of gold and silver jewellery, entitled The Protector, featuring snakes.
The range, which is understood to have been more than a year in the making, was inspired by a serpent-shaped ring given to Jolie while she was pregnant with daughter Shiloh. Since then, the Oscar-winning actress has deemed the animal a lucky charm and protector of her family.
The limited edition collection, which hits Asprey stores later this week, features gold, diamond, black diamond and emerald pendants, rings, bracelets, earrings, dress studs and cuff links, as well as silver baby gifts, including spoons, egg cups, tooth boxes and picture frames. In fact, Jolie was spotted wearing one of the serpent-shaped bracelets from the range at the Bafta Awards in London earlier this year.
What's more, all net proceeds from sales of the jewellery will go to the Education Partnership For Children Of Conflict charity, which was co-founded by Jolie in 2006.
The collection will be available at Asprey stores in London, New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Dubai with prices starting at £315 for a silver baby spoon.
