Banana Republic shifts into neutrals

If your fake tan has yet to reach a hue complimentary to the new season's colourful palette, you may in the meantime want to consider Banana Republic. The upmarket high street label, which debuted in London last year, has just introduced its Heritage Collection, a line of laid-back, eco-aware pieces in a very complexion-enhancing, muted colour scheme of ecru, slate, cream and white.

The collection, the first from creative director Simon Kneen, comprises almost 50 pieces, featuring a languid silhouette with slouchy pantaloon shorts, airy knits which fit close to the body, and oversized shirts in light-as-air soy silk (90 per cent of the products use sustainable fabrics). For the colour-shy among us, it may just bridge the gap.

Available in store now. Prices between £23 - £145 approx.
