Alexander McQueen supports HOME project

Eco-fashion just went up-market, with the news that Alexander McQueen has been working on a special project for environmental film HOME.

The British designer, known for his show-stopping designs, has created a limited edition scarf featuring a manipulated photographic representation of Earth as seen from space, morphed into a skull.

The 200 scarves, which retail at £150, are available exclusively at the Alexander McQueen boutique on London's Bond Street, with profits going to goodplanet.org.

HOME, which will be launched on 5 June (Earth Day), is a film made by Yann Arthus Bertrand and co-produced by Luc Besson (director of Léon and The Fifth Element). Made as an effort to raise awareness on social issues and climate change. It can be viewed at goodplanet.org from 5 June 2009.
