The fashion jet set were out in force last night in New York as Karl Lagerfeld launched Chanel's The Little Black Jacket exhibition.
Joined by supermodel Linda Evangelista and other notables such as former Paris Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, monochrome Chanel outfits seemed to be the required get-up for the party in Soho.
Originally launched in Tokoyo in March, the label then went on to unveil a digital exhibition to pay homage to the iconic item of clothing.
Featuring 113 pictures of celebrities such as Dakota Fanning in black jackets taken by Karl Lagerfeld - the exhibition will open to the public in New York on 8 June.
But keen to up his work load even further - the French designer is also preparing for the launch of a book on the same theme - The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited, co-authored by Carine Roitfeld.
Due for release later this year, the book will feature a host of famous faces including Sarah Jessica Parker and Yoko Ono, wearing their interpretations of the fashion house's iconic garment.
