During London Fashion Week the Peter Pilotto show is always one of the most sought after tickets. The design duo behind the label, Christopher De Vos and Peter Pilotto himself, are known for their modern take on classic tailoring - think sculptural shapes and drapes - plus colourful otherworldly prints. And now they are making their covetable designs accessible to the masses via a collaboration with iconic bag brand Kipling.
The 11-strong bag collection and five accessories will come in two typical Pilotto prints: galaxy and machine. When the two brands joined forces for this project, Pilotto says they were imagining "an intergalactic traveller, a sort of otherworldly nomad", which made the simple yet classic shapes of the Kipling canvas oversized bag, rucksack and bumbag styles, amongst others, the perfect base for the limited edition prints.
The capsule collection will be available from 8 September for two weeks at a special pop-up shop in London's Selfridges and will then be available in Kipling stores nationwide and at kipling.com.
