Matthew Williamson to show at LFW
Matthew Williamson has announced he will relocate from New York to London for his spring/summer ’10 fashion show.
Following the news that Burberry Prorsum will close London Fashion Week next September, Matthew Williamson has announced he will be relocating from New York to show here.
Williamson was reported as saying he was "impressed with the momentum" surrounding the shows, which will mark the 25th anniversary of the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week.
The show will celebrate the continuation of a stellar year for the designer, who has seen unprecedented levels of attention as a result of his collaboration with H&M. In spite of his ability to lure supermodels such as Daria Werbowy and public support from the likes of Sienna Miller, he will have a tough time matching his last show in London, in September 2007, when Prince played a set and had the whole audience on its feet.
