Armed with a famous name (she is the great-granddaughter of Ernest) and a modelling contract with Elite, Dree Hemingway is taking the fashion blogs by storm. Already a favourite among the likes of Knight Cat, Fashion Indie and Fashionologie, with her own video slot on Modelinia, the 5ft 9in former ballerina turned model/actress has so far largely gone unnoticed by print magazines, although that is all set to change following her starring role in Halston's autumn/winter 2009 collection video, and the fact she was also booked exclusively for Givenchy's latest show in Paris. The Idaho-born, New York dwelling 21-year-old possesses the unstyled yet immaculately put together wardrobe associated with the likes of Mary-Kate Olsen and Erin Wasson. Her own fashion preferences run to Alexander Wang - who seems to be replacing Marc Jacobs as the trendy New York girl's label of choice - and boutiques Kirna Zabete and Circa Now. She's also a fan of handbag.com's own street style snapper Jak & Jil, who calls her "a style icon in the making". We call her the first web-created fashion It Girl.
