It\'s not just that baby-faced, Bambi-eyed Alex is fit and looks cool in The Last Shadow Puppets\' videos, there\'s something charming and Billy Elliot about the Northern lad who formed Arctic Monkeys with chums while still at Stockbridge High school in Sheffield. He is the Mark Owen of his generation with his mop of floppy hair, lean frame shoe-horned into skinny slacks and skin-tight vests. Off-stage he\'s all mod jackets, expensive loafers and groovy, head-to-toe designer gear. Something to do with girlfriend, Alexa Chung, we shouldn\'t wonder. Alex shares something in common with the cousin and fellow band member of another of our hotties line-up, Caleb Followill from Kings Of Leon. Alex co-wrote the song Fluorescent Adolescent with Johanna Bennett, from the group Totalizer, when he was dating her. She then moved on to Matthew Followill and Alex met Alexa, who we know is currently the most fashionable woman on Planet Earth.

George Clooney

You couldn\'t talk about hotties and not mention His Royal Clooneyship, gorgeous George, King of phwooooar!  Not sure whether it\'s his devastating looks, effervescent charm, cool style (particularly in Ocean\'s 11-13), love of children (he\'s a voracious Unicef spokesman) or his formidable acting skills that does it. The best thing about this all-American hunk is that he seems genuinely nice and as far removed from the usual Hollywood nonsense as you could be. As for the grey hair, if you look at his dad, the distinguished journalist, Nick Clooney - who travelled to Sudan recently with his son to highlight the plight of refugees in war-torn Darfur - you can see where he got his looks (and humanity) from. Still single at 47 (we shall ignore rumours that his on/off relationship with actress Krista Allen is on again) we allow ourselves one small glimmer of hope. Would he? Could it be one of us who will be the one?

Josh Hartnett

Cast as the male love interest in Sofia Coppola\'s directorial debut, The Virgin Suicides (1999), this hunky actor went on to star in Pearl Harbour (2001) and The Black Dahlia (2006). Despite looking younger than his 30 years, Hollywood\'s latest chick magnet has worked his way through some of the world\'s most beautiful women including Gisele Bundchen, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Kirsten Dunst and Helena Christensen. Hartnett, who normally sports ‘bed hair\' and stubble, scrubs up a treat as the ‘face\' of the new Giorgio Armani Diamonds for Men campaign, shot by Mario Testino. In this we get a glimpse of a honed six-pack before he puts on his nicely pressed Armani shirt. To see the real thing get yourself down to the Apollo Theatre in London\'s West End where Josh plays Charlie Babbitt, the role made famous by Tom Cruise in a stage adaptation of Rain Man. Besides the moment he rips his own shirt off, he\'s really very good (and really hot).

Kanye West

Kanye can\'t be, can he? Working on a song for Michael Jackson to support Barak Obama\'s presidential campaign. What did you think I was talking about? Ding dong, the cutting edge style of this award-winning hip-hop record producer, singer, philanthropist and outspoken political rapper makes him qualify for a hottie, alright. He not only cuts a dash in suits but also pulls together street/casual/club as only someone with inherent style could do. Plus he\'s cuter and less boorish than 50 Cent and tries less hard than P Diddy. West is responsible for hoiking hip-hop into the Noughties and away from being famous for wearing suits or tracksuits, or of course baseball caps. So he might have gone a little far by appearing in a white suit with archangel wings and posing as Jesus Christ for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, but his consistently dapper and often witty fashion ensembles set him apart not just from most of his peers but most men in the music industry today. Not just a role model, a model we think.

Pharrell Williams

If it wasn\'t enough being one half of the brilliant American R&B songwriting and production team, The Neptunes, Pharrell Williams can sing, skate and carry off a unique look too.  Three years ago the men\'s mag Esquire voted him Best Dressed Man In The World. What about the face? The boy\'s motherflippin\' gorgeous, as his chum, Snoop Dogg might say. He looks a bit like Naomi Campbell\'s naughty little brother. \"Skateboard P\", as he sometimes refers to himself in his songs, is also the co-founder of two ‘luxury\' (ie, costs a fortune) streetwear brands: Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, which you can buy at Dover Street market in London. Being cute and cool definitely makes him a hottie.

Tom Brady

Boo hoo. Not fair. If rumours are true Gisele Bundchen, millionairess and highest paid supermodel ever, is set to marry gorgeous US quarterback, Tom Brady who is MVP (most valuable player) for the New England Patriots team. He has made more touchdown passes in his career than any other player and is being hailed as the best quarterback ever. Imagine the American equivalent of Johnny Wilkinson, Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen rolled into one with no injuries and bigger pecs. Gisele and Tom are outright buffest couple-of-the-minute. Since going out with the ‘Boobs from Brazil\' he never looks less than catwalk slick. Earlier this year Brady was allegedly offered $1m to model Calvin Klein underwear in a bid to rival David Beckham\'s Armani campaign. Clearly his missus-to-be decided Tom\'s pants were for her eyes only. He might not be a model yet but he is a role model. Like Gisele, he is dedicated to raising awareness of good causes, particularly children\'s charideees. All together now, aaaahhhh.

Ignacio Figueras

Nacho is a 28-year-old tousle-haired, Argentinian polo hottie who, thanks to photographer Bruce Weber who picked him to be the face of Polo Black by Ralph Lauren, is now a Ford supermodel and superstar. Whether you see him in his off duty uniform of head-to-foot Lauren designs or riding across a field wearing tight, white breeches, boots and a polo shirt clinging to his rippling six pack, this man is sooooooo damn sexy. Handsome doesn\'t do him justice. Nacho met Ralph in the posh Hamptons back in 2000 when Penelope Cruz had just become the face of the Black Label women\'s collection. It was deemed a good idea to have a Latin polo player for additional eye candy in the campaign. It didn\'t stop there. Everyone wanted to learn more about the horse-mad hunk who, by the way, is a happily married father of two. If anyone can make the thunder of hooves and the crack of the mallet alluring it\'s this signor.

Javier Bardem

Not classically good-looking but ruggedly handsome Spanish actor Javier won best supporting actor at the 2007 Oscars for his portrayal of scary baddie Anton Chigurh in No Country For Old Men. He\'s also starred in the Tom Cruise movie Collateral and romanced Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz onscreen in Woody Allen\'s recent movie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Then, ay caramba! Cruz and Bardem came out and revealed their off-screen romance after being papped celebrating Spain\'s Euro 2008 footie win after one too many cavas. Javier is a sort of sexy, Latin version of Nicolas Cage and Robert Downey Jr with a bit of rough and ready rock star style thrown in. With his lady Penelope on his arm, and bessie mate Antonio Banderas at his side, Bardem leads a new Armada into Hollywood. Never mind his looks or style, when he opens his mouth and that sexy Spanish accent rolls out, we get all goosebumpy.

Caleb Followill

Long hair, tight crotch trousers, crosses jangling in his chest hair, Wayfarers, Johnny Depp-style hat and an awesome jaw. Step forward Caleb Followill, frontman of Kings Of Leon, a band of brothers (along with first cousin Matthew) who are currently electrifying the music industry. Mobbed by groupies wherever they go, Caleb in particular is a babe magnet. Odd that these guys came from Nashville, Tennessee, the Followill boys being sons of a Pentecostal preacher, and yet they have the sort of gutsy, bold rock\'n\'roll style you\'d pay a London stylist handsomely for. Caleb\'s signature waistcoat, beaten leather jacket and religious neck ornamentation offsets the biggest blue eyes you\'ve ever seen and a look not dissimilar to iconic Doors singer, Jim Morrison.

Danny Cipriani

England\'s scrummiest rugby star, Danny, who plays fly-half/full-back for London Wasps is currently dating the gorgeous Kelly Brook, eight years his senior. She\'s not the only one who has been watching this cutie ever so closely since he made his England debut as the replacement for Mike Tindall in the Six Nations match against Wales at Twickers in February 2008. Kit on or off - he stripped for the Everyman cancer campaign earlier this year and is the new male body of lingerie firm, Ultimo - he is, as they say, gentle on the eye. Still only 20, despite spending a lifetime in various sporting academies, his effervescent charm, smile and Latin looks set to ensure a paparazzi-fuelled future even when he hangs up his boots. The tabloids are comparing Cipriani\'s Ultimo campaign shots with Emporio Armani underwear pin-up David Beckham in what they are calling, ‘the battle of the bulge.\' Golly!
