How proud are we to have a homegrown girl in the international modelling superleague? Bambi-eyed, 5ft 10in Imogen, blew away the competition during the recent spring/summer 2010 shows. The 17-year-old girl from Notting Hill in West London, appeared in all the shows that mattered including Gucci, Versace, Jil Sander and Dolce & Gabbana in Milan, and McQueen, Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Miu Miu and Nina Ricci in Paris. Her bouncy catwalk style and haunting wide-eyed beauty mesmerised audiences. Meanwhile backstage, the charismatic schoolgirl also proved centre of attention, cracking jokes and doing impressions (her initial ambition was be an actress). New assignments include German Vogue with Patrick Demarchelier; 10 magazine with Serge Le Blanc and the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel campaign with Horst Diekgerdes in Paris. She\'s also working with Nick Knight on a project. According to her booker, the legendary model scout, Sarah Leon, who started the careers of Alexa Chung, Lily Donaldson and Agyness Deyn, Imogen is not just the right face at the right time she\'s also in the right place. \"Imogen exudes personality which is vital now that so much advertising is being done online,\" says Leon, who works for international giants Next models. Next currently boasts most, if not the world\'s entire top ranking models including Anja Rubik, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Anna Jagodzinska, Malgosia Bela and Karlie Kloss. Not bad for starters. What\'s for afters?

Rumour has it Sir Philip Green\'s 17-year-old daughter, Chloe, is currently the most influential woman in British fashion. The Monaco-dwelling clothing tycoon has certainly done nothing to conceal the growing contribution played by his teenage daughter to his multi-billion pound Arcadia empire, the jewel in the crown being Topshop, which recently opened stores in New York and the Middle East. For over a year now, the glamorous Miss Green, has been casting her auspicious eye over countless prospective collections at the Oxford Street HQ (which includes Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis) and choosing what pieces ultimately go into shops. No one is more delighted than her father who appears to be deaf to the sounds of the gnashing teeth of senior Arcadia buyers who feel a minor is usurping them. Chloe, (an expensive-looking Bergdorf blonde who can make even Kate Moss look chavvy), may have already proved her point. Her track record of being photographed solely in what becomes best-selling items for her father\'s lines, rather than say £1,000 Balmain jeans, has earned her respect. Despite boasting an A-list inner circle that keeps tabloid newspapers in business (friends include Katherine Jenkins, Simon Cowell, Tamara Mellon, Naomi Campbell and, of course, Kate Moss), Chloe is remarkably most famous for drinking mineral water and emerging bright-eyed and perfectly coiffed from nightclubs. Oh, and knowing her stuff when it comes to commercial retail. So, Chloe Green what\'s it to be? Future fashion queen or simply the new Green?

Since rising to fame as the kick-ass Pre-Raphaelite in the outstanding Gucci by Flora ad, the baby-faced 22 year-old Australian, Abbey Lee Kershaw, has become one of the brightest stars in the model firmament. She is the number one favourite of influential photographers like Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin who cast her as a Gucci girl in their 2008 campaign. She has also worked for editorials including Vogue and V with Nick Knight, as well as Steven Meisel, Craig McDean and Mario Testino, who provided her breakout D&G campaign. Kershaw, who comes from Melbourne, seems to have fully recovered from an initial streak of bad luck on the international catwalks. She took at tumble at Rodarte in spring 2008 and famously fainted just as she took her exit last October, at the McQueen show. She blamed the combination of leather corset and high heels. Many believed it was simply that she was simply catwalked-out. No matter. One year on, Abbey Lee was a, if not the, stand-out star of the recent spring/summer 2010 runways. She got to wear what is being heralded as the knockout piece of the season - the metallic \'Cave woman\' dress (Look number 8) on the Balmain runway. With her petite frame, dirty blonde hair, slutty fringe, chiseled cheekbones and signature pout, she could easily pass as a Russian (so vital to model \'looks\' these days). But given her pierced nose (left nostril) and nipples she reminds us she is reassuringly 100% Sheila from Oz.

dree hemingway
Less than a year ago Dree Hemingway, the daughter of actress Mariel and great-granddaughter of writer Ernest, was signed up by Elite + agency and became the latest in a line of iconic offspring (alongside publishing heiress Lydia Hearst, and Elvis\' granddaughter, Riley Keough) to dip a toe into the modelling world. Who could have predicted her meteoric rise? She made her runway debut at Givenchy in Paris this March (where she was booked exclusively) and subsequently starred in sexy campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch and DKNY. She was also a surprise hit at London Fashion Week this September when she demonstrated a fiercely polished off-catwalk style that made her something of a fashion star documented in particular by street style guru, Tommy Ton of JakandJil. She recently posed for glossy spreads in Russian Vogue and V magazine and is currently the face of luxury label Halston. Her home city may yet prove as important to Dree as her mother, who became an overnight star aged 16 in Woody Allen\'s 1979 cult movie Manhattan. Catch Dree, who is classically ballet-trained running (in heels) in slow motion through the streets of New York wearing a fabulous Halston evening gown in a short film directed by the music video director, Nez. Since bleaching her waist length hair, which sets those Hemingway eyebrows off to perfection, more film roles are rumoured to be in the pipeline.

carey mulligan
This 24-year-old British actress became hot property in Hollywood overnight following her success in the stylish movie An Education, which was the surprise hit of the Sundance Festival earlier this year. Carey shines in her breakthrough role as Jenny, a convincing 16-year-old schoolgirl who dates an older man (played by Peter Sarsgaard) in 1960s suburban Britain. In real life she is a go-getting girl after our own hearts. The London-born lass - who was in real danger of being type cast in dreary BBC period costume roles like Bleak House and even Dr Who of all places - lost no time getting an Audrey Hepburn crop, dying her mousey locks bright red and dating gorgeous Shia LaBeouf, her co-star in Wall Street 2, her next movie. Atta girl. Now she\'s rumoured to be close to signing a Dior contract and is currently working with Warren Beatty on his next feature film. Having been nominated for a British Independent Film Award as Best Actress for An Education, in which she gets to wear fabulous sixties gear and dons a beehive hairdo, betting firm Ladbroke\'s have put her second favourite at 5-1 (behind Meryl Streep for her cooking flick Julie & Julia) to win an Oscar. This girl is a serious contender to bring Brit cool back to the red carpet. But it would make best pal, Keira Knightley - who Carey met playing Kitty Bennett in the 2005 film, Pride And Prejudice - turn as green as that Atonement dress.

gia coppola
The latest Coppola to flash on the fashion radar is Sofia\'s 22-year-old niece Gia, who hangs out with designers like Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang in between studying photography at Bard College in upstate New York. She is extremely pretty and bears a striking resemblance to her aunt. So it\'s no wonder she has subsequently become New York\'s latest and coolest It girl. Her father was the late Gian-Carlo Coppola, the eldest son of director Francis Ford Coppola who died tragically in a speed boat accident months before she was born. Her mother is a well known Hollywood based costume designer, Jacqueline \"Jacqui\" Getty - who get this also happens to be a Chanel couture customer - who is married to Peter Getty, the eldest son of billionaire philanthropists Ann and Gordon Getty. Jacqui is also a contributing editor of American Harper\'s Bazaar and best friends with the likes of Demi Moore and Pamela Skaist-Levy, co-founder of Juicy Couture. We can but imagine the jet-set bohemian home Gia has been raised in the Hollywood Hills filled with Basquiats, Ruschas, and Pollocks. With creativity and fashion pulsing through her veins is it any wonder Gia\'s boyish Lolita style (she likes baby doll dresses, flats and cute handbags) has been so well documented in magazines like W and Teen Vogue. We shall keep her in the style file marked \"promising\".

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl! Just like her mummy. Lola Lennox, 18, is one of 1980s pop sensation, Annie\'s two teenage daughters, both of whom seem intent on carving their own niche in the fashion world. Having just shot the Topshop campaign (due out spring 2010), the latest and cutest teenage rock offsprings joined peers including Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and Peaches Geldof, sitting front row at the Dolce & Gabbana at the spring/summer 2010 show in Milan. Lola, a 5ft 10in brunette with hazel eyes, wore a spectacularly short mini dress, biker jacket and heels, and looked every inch the fashionista. Since being signed to the agency Next models (who also represent Peaches and Pixie Geldof, Leah Wood, Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal, Alexa Chung and younger sister Tali), Lola has posed for Vanity Fair and Jalouse magazine. Two years ago you might remember Lola was grounded after trashing dad Uri Fruchtmann\'s North London house which was invaded by MySpace gatecrashers during her 16th birthday party. Hot on her heels is younger sister, Tali, 16, who is 5ft 9in and has green eyes and light brown hair, and has so far modelled for Tatler, Vanity Fair, British Vogue, French Connection and the online NEO2 magazine, who featured her in a Model Of The Moment fashion story. Sweet dreams are made of these.

What do you mean you haven\'t seen the (raciest) fashion picture everyone is talking about yet? In the current issue of Purple magazine, Charlotte Kemp Muhl - or Kemp Muhl as she is known in the biz - and her boyfriend, Sean Lennon, recreate the iconic Annie Leibovitz 1981 cover of US magazine, Rolling Stone, where a nude John Lennon artistically simulates humping Yoko Ono. Only in the 2009 remake, fashion photographer Terry Richardson has made the model/singer Kemp strip (phew, so no spotty bum then). The loved-up couple who are styling themselves as the new John and Yoko also star in grungy French brand Zadig & Voltaire\'s autumn/winter 2009 campaign. Post-Chanel prêt-a-porter, where Kemp had modelled, the duo paraded recklessly in front of the paparazzi. They also play in a band called, The Ghost Of A Saber Toothed Tiger, together. Kemp is not likely to give up her lucrative day job just yet however. The startlingly beautiful and very successful American model, who began modeling at 13 and became the youngest model to grace the cover of British Harper\'s Bazaar at 16 has featured in countless campaigns like Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan and Maybelline cosmetics. Behind the cameras she is not shy about revealing a unique style that comprises signature blue lipstick and beaten-up trainers. The next Aggy Deyn perhaps?

tabitha simmons
British-born, New York-based stylist Simmons, who regularly contributes to Vogue, V magazine, Another and Dazed & Confused, and has collaborated on Alexander McQueen and Givenchy shows, recently launched her first shoe line. She follows a growing trend among fashion\'s close-knit cognoscenti to branch out into something new if still a little familiar. Having spent a lifetime bent double with a shoe horn shoving models feet into them for shoots and shows, Simmons believes she has come up with the ultimate fashion challenge: comfortable high heels! Having also been a model, her collection, which ranges from tasselled suede ankle boots to strappy buckled stilettos and of course thigh-boots, also takes into account practical issues rather than simply drop dead glamour. Many of her shoes, all made in Italy by craftsmen by the way, have concealed platforms to lessen the impact of teetering heels along with fine layers of bouncy lining in the soles Perhaps this is why it has sailed into leading department stores globally, from Bergdorf Goodman to Dover Street Market, helped along no doubt by the endorsement of powerful fashion buddies like Elizabeth Saltzman Walker, supermodels Karen Elson and Kate Moss and of course her crucially influential husband Craig McDean, who is partly responsible for the success of Kate Moss among others. Perhaps we should try them out ourselves to see if they live up to the tremendous hype surrounding them? Rude not to.

Where would the fashion world be without a bit of juicy gossip? When undercover spies from handbag.com spied the most in demand-of-the-minute photographer, Horst Diekgerdes, shooting a beautiful black girl, wearing pair upon pair of Louis Vuitton\'s box-fresh shoes outside the flashy Les Deux Magots café on the Left Bank in Paris, we set about doing a bit of detective work. Turns out the model in question is a 23-year-old New Yorker called Amanda Sudano who bears a striking resemblance to the iconic disco legend, Donna Summer. Lo and behold, she is the daughter of Summer (her father is songwriting legend, Bruce Sudano, who wrote some of Summer\'s biggest hits along with some iconic movie soundtracks including Flashdance and The Karate Kid). When Amanda married Abner Ramirez in Florida in March this year, Vuitton\'s shoe designer, Fabrizio Viti, created a custom made pair for her special day. Amanda is also a chum of Marc Jacobs, the pair were snapped in a post-fashion show \'clinch\' post-Louis Vuitton in Paris. The 23-year-old , who is on the books of Bella model agency in New York, has starred in campaigns for Levi\'s and Ambercrombie & Fitch (shot by with Bruce Weber) and Polo Ralph Lauren jeans. She\'s also following mom into singing and plays in a band called, Johnnyswim. Although lips are sealed at the Louis Vuitton HQ they would not confirm or deny there could be something going down here. Her agent did also say she\'s got a major campaign coming in spring/summer 2010 ...watch this space.
