They may not yet have reached their mother\'s legendary supermodel status, but Lizzie, who\'s one of the faces of Marks & Spencer, and Georgia May, who featured in the launch campaign for Uniqlo\'s Oxford Street flagship store last year, are certainly on the right track. While Lizzie is a dab hand at putting together an eye-catching outfit - remember her harlequin-print catsuit at a recent Rolling Stones party? - 16-year old Georgia is hinting she has her mother\'s flair for glamour, favouring red lips teamed with a biker jacket at a recent photo-op.

Anna Wintour and Bee Shaffer

"It is very rare that you find a child who will inherit a mother\'s fashion taste and abilities - but she has it all." So said Oscar de la Renta, one of New York\'s most revered fashion designers, when interviewed about Bee Shaffer for The Daily Telegraph a few years\' ago. Indeed, it can\'t be easy living in the eye of the fashion storm that is Anna Wintour, but 20-year old Bee seems to take it in her Louboutin-assisted stride, and is now nearly as ubitiquitous as mum in the front rows of New York Fashion Week.

Donatella and Allegra Versace

When Gianni Versace was assassinated, the world was shocked to discover he had left the controlling share of his fashion empire to his 11-year old niece Allegra. Whilst Allegra has been studying hard at fashion college and recovering from a well publicised battle with anorexia, her mother Donatella has been holding the fort at Versace. Now in much better health, the pair have appeared together at recent red carpet events.

Paula Yates, Peaches and Pixie Geldof

Paula Yates was lauded for her bolshy style and photographed wherever she went. Daughters Peaches and Pixie clearly have a similar eye for an outrageous outfit, and these days are photographed at all the right parties in London (older sister Fifi Trixabelle keeps a lower profile).

Bianca and Jade Jagger

Ever since she married Mick in a white YSL trousersuit in 1971, Bianca Jagger\'s fierce style has been seared on fashion\'s memory. Daughter Jade, who was Creative Director of jewellery house Garrard between 2005 and 2006, and has designed a jewellery line for Astley Clarke, also favours  an open-down-to-there blazer, but teams it with a super-tight pencil skirt and Azzedine Alaïa heels.

Carine Roitfeld and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld

Her mum may be Editor-in-Chief at Paris Vogue, but that hasn\'t stopped daughter Julia from making a name for herself in New York as a graphic designer. And although at first glance mother and daugher seem to dress from the same closet - lots of tight, lots of black, lots of leather -  on closer inspection, it\'s clear that mum Carine actually prefers shorter skirts to her daugher, and even higher heels.

Rosita, Angela and Margherita Missoni

The women of the Missoni family make the perfect team: grandmother Rosita, who co-founded the label in 1948 (with husband Ottavio) designs the Missoni Home line, daughter Angela heads up the clothing line, and granddaughter Margherita is the face of Missoni fragrance as well as brand ambassador.

Isabella and Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann

Isabella Rossellini, daughter of screen legend Ingrid Bergman, was one of the style icons of the nineties: her sensual, European beauty made her the face of Lancôme for fourteen years, as well as a Vogue cover girl;  she also appeared in cool, art-house films Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart, both directed by her then-lover, David Lynch. (Most recently she did a hilarious comic turn as Alec Baldwin\'s ex-wife in the genius sitcom 30 Rock.) Daughter Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann has now taken up the fashion baton, herself a model and spokesperson for Lancôme.
