The Fashion Designer - Charles Anastase

French fashion designer Charles Anastase first found fame with his pencil, before setting up his own label in 2004. His cool doodles could be found gracing the pages of Purple Fashion, Dazed & Confused and DoingBird. Then he tried life as a fashion stylist and was equally as successful at that, working with his family and friends as real models and shooting for Jalouse and Libe Style.

Known for his razor-sharp wit and love of all things dark, he looks at fairytales, psychoanalysis and art to inspire his whimsical creations...

The Model - Daiane Conterato

Spring Summer 2008,model Daiane Conterato

Every so often there are a gang of new kids that are worth watching. Here are our hot tips for the latest models, designers and magazines

What\'s with the long face? Daiane Conterato, the 16-year-old Brazilian challenges the commercial beauty aesthetic. Discovered by Supreme head Paul Rowlands on a trip to Brazil, she bucks the trend for busty Brazilian models. A refreshing change in an industry of bee-stung beauties. When she hit the fashion circuit in 2006 she was instantly booked by Miuccia Prada for her pale and interesting look, getting the royal seal of approval in the kingdom of fashion. She is a firm favourite of photographers Steven Meisel and Jurgen Teller, who has just shot her for the Marc Jacobs autumn/winter \'07 campaign. Cooler than that, you die!

The Magazine - Lula

Kirsten Dunst,Spring Summer 2008 Lula magazine

Created by ex-Voguettes Leith Clark (stylist) and Becky Smith (creative) and published bi-annually, Lula has the daydream-like quality of an angst-ridden teenager. Now on issue five, which makes it the grand old age of two and a half, it manages to mix fashion, art, film and culture in a non defensive manner, girlish but impetuous at the same time. The current issue is edited by the über cool Kirsten Dunst, and features photographs by provocative snapper Corine Day, and an interview with actress Mia Farrow. Love it!
