Angela, Margherita and Rosita Missoni
Tai Missoni and Rosita Jelmini met, fell in love and set up a small knitwear workshop in 1953. This could have been the last we heard of the Missonis had beady-eyed editors Anna Piaggi, contributor for Italian Vogue and Diana Vreeland, editor of US Vogue not championed their unique designs through coverage in their magazines.
Missoni has been showing at Milan Fashion Week since 1958. It\'s a family run business with Tai and Rosita\'s daughter Angela taking on the role of creative director and their two sons looking after the hotel Missoni brand and Missoni Home.
Italians are famed for their big families, and it\'s a good job - there\'s a lot to take care of with M Missoni the diffusion line and their extensive perfume range also.

Missoni\'s eye-popping designs are a big draw for LA starlets with the likes of Nicole Richie, Joy Bryant and Cameron Diaz falling over themselves to wear Missoni.
