Kate Moss models her Top Shop range
Models come in three sizes, "super", "top" and just "model". Then there\'s Kate Moss... Last year, the 32 year old earnt an eye-popping £33 million. £3 million of this was for designing a ‘debut\' range for Topshop. We all knew her personal style held the key to serious wealth when her looks started to fade. Weird thing is she\'s never looked better? Her latest Christmas range knocks spots off all competition. Great fashion. Very Kate. Winning combination. Kerching $$$.

Karl Lagerfeld
by Julia Robson
Model turned designer, designer turned photographer, stylist turned on-line entrepreneur. It seems that everybody wants to job swop in the fashion world. Here are our top picks of moonlighting fashionistas...
When ‘Kaiser\' Karl Lagerfeld ditched his trademark fan (and half his bodyweight) he needed something to hold in his free hand. A camera was the answer! Ever since, he\'s been responsible for snapping those tres stylish Chanel campaigns on supermodels and celebrities. His portfolio reads like a who\'s who of fashion: Daria Werbowy, Irina Lazareanu, Keira Knightley, Lindsay Lohan... "Most of my ideas come to me in my dreams..." says the pony-tailed one
model,helena christensen
Helena Christensen
This international supermodel-turned photographer loves to job swap. In between occasional modeling assignments (she officially retired from the catwalk after the birth of her son, Mingus, in 1999), she buys antiques for her Manhattan boutique, Butik, and recently launched a clothing line, Christensen & Sigersen, with the co-owner of her shop, Leif Sigersen. Whilst working on Nylon magazine, (which she co-founded), Helena stumbled on her true vocation. Her haunting portraits have since won her global acclaim. Now the golden-skinned beauty is happiest snapping.

Georgina Chapman
Nobody knows how to ‘work\' a dress in front of a photographer quite like a model. Which explains why Georgina Chapman, a former model, knows how to make paparazzi flash bulbs go ‘pop\'! Chapman\'s seamless transition from catwalk to design studio resulted in the creation of the much celebrity-endorsed eveningwear label, Marchesa. In just three years this has become synonymous with red carpet gowns worn by Mischa Barton, Penelope Cruz and Felicity Huffman. It helps Georgina\'s boyfriend is Harvey Weinstein, the 53 yr old Hollywood mogul and one of the most powerful men in movies...
Milla Jovovich,model,designer
Milla Jovovich
Oh Milla Milla, is there anything you can\'t do? The 32 year old Russian-born has had outstanding success as a supermodel, musician, actress and fashion designer. Discovered by the photographer, Richard Avedon, when she was 11, she\'s been job-swapping ever since. The face of L\'Oreal added another string to her bow in 2003, (like she needed another?), when she launched fashion label, Jovovich-Hawk, with chum, Camilla Hawk. This instantly achieved the sort of it girl-about-town status most designers spend years trying to nurture. She\'s just done a deal with Spanish fashion chain, Mango too. But hey, she\'s worth it.
Sadie Frost,model,designer
Sadie Frost
Why do one job when you can do six? Ask Sadie Frost, celebrity, Primrose Hillbilly, pal of Kate Moss and darling of the gossip glossies. The former wife of Jude Law and Spandau Ballet hunk, Gary Kemp, mother of four, Sadie, now 42 but still baby-faced with a fab bod, was a model-turned-actress-turned-producer before she moved into fashion design. As one half of the trendy duo, Frost French, (with Jemima French), she has proved saucy sells.
luella bartley,designer,luella
Luella Bartley
Did you know Luella was once a fashion journalist before cool stylist, Katie Grand, sidetracked her into designing frocks and bags? Before making her debut at London Fashion Week in 2000 (because the world really needed another designer, eh?), she worked for British Vogue and the London Evening Standard. Luella is most famous for her cult handbags. Best-sellers at eBay. And for snaffling gorgeous fashion photographer, David Sims, now her boyfriend and father of her three children.
designer,henry holland
Henry Holland
Twenty-three year old stylist and fashion journalist-turned designer has proved you can turn a witty gimmick into phenomena. In just eight months, House of Holland, went from being a tiny t-shirt range worn by Holland\'s trendy fashion posse (like Gareth Pugh) into a cult brand sold in the world\'s finest boutiques and department stores. We love a fella who can make us laugh, especially about fashion. But there\'s wisdom in his wit. Watch this space...

Natalie Massenet
No one ever got rich from being a fashion editor. Natalie Massenet, however, got very very rich honing the skills gleaned at Tatler magazine - visiting all those international designer shows and working out what would be the hottest must-haves - to kit out fashionistas the world over. Last year, the turnover of Net-A-Porter, the luxury e-boutique she founded in 2000 from her kitchen table, exceeded £6 million. If anyone can make you shop this lady can...
designer,kylie
William Baker
Most famous for helping re-launch Kylie Minogue\'s career - shoe-horning her into gold hot pants - stylist, William Baker, goes by the grand title of Kylie\'s creative director. He oversees everything from choreography to what style of knickers goes in her lingerie range. As well as styling Jamiroquai, Tricky, Bjork, PJ Harvey and All Saints, he is now the man-behind-the-camera on Kylie\'s video and fashion shoots. He\'s a designer too, having just launched an underwear and swimwear label, B Boy.
model,sophie dahl
Sophie Dahl
Catwalk and Vogue covergirl British model, Sophie Dahl, has just written her second novel, Playing With The Grown Ups. The former girlfriend of Mick Jagger wrote her first acclaimed novella in 2003, The Man With The Dancing Eyes, supposedly about the wrinkly rocker. Sophie\'s modeling career took off when she stripped starkers for the YSL Opium advert. Writing is in the blood of the six-foot blonde bombshell. Her grandfather was Roald Dahl, who based the character of Sophie the giant\'s helper in the children\'s classic, The BFG on his granddaughter.
