Put it this way, he\'s come a long way since he launched a line of cashmere knits in his sophomore year. Now this San Francisco-raised, New York-based designer is the boy wonder of the fashion world, kudos indeed. Ridiculously over accomplished for a 25-year-old, Alexander Wang studied at Parsons design while juggling internships at Teen Vogue, Marc Jacobs and Derek Lam then launched his first full ready to wear women\'s collection in 2007.

What\'s all the fuss about?

The pinnacle so far of Wang\'s career was winning the CFDA Vogue fashion award in 2008, netting him $200,000 in prize money.


Not only does the fashion world adore him, his designs have the added extra of being worshipped by Joe Bloggs too. Or should that be Joe ‘Blogs\', seeing as the fashion blogging world can\'t get enough of his sexy street aesthetic.


His denim-look leather bag (left) sold out from Browns online in a matter of hours - basically, he can do no wrong right now.

It doesn\'t hurt that his ‘off-duty model\' style clothes are seen on model and best mate Erin Wasson (left, with the designer). Her cool-cred is indisputable; she\'s become a style icon for all those girls craving that slutty-meets-skater-meets-street look, which is of course perfectly in tune with Wang\'s vision, not surprising then when you find out she\'s his muse and sometime-stylist.


Other celebrity fans include, Alice Dellal, Lindsay Lohan and, weirdly, Sarah Jessica Parker who was front row at his a/w09 show
