Jimmy Choo teams up with Hunter
The glamorous shoe brand revamps the trad British Welly. By Danielle Radojcin
Blame Kate Moss. Again. Ever since she wore a pair of classic green Hunter Wellington boots to Glastonbury, it's been the footwear of choice for festival goers. And it was Kate, with her army of imitators, who inspired Tamara Mellon, President and Founder of Jimmy Choo, to come up with the idea for a collaboration with Hunter, in her words "a sleek interpretation of the British classic." The result (pictured), not available until festival season next June, is a black rubber boot embossed with signature Jimmy Choo crocodile print, bearing gold metal hardware and metal rivets, as well as extra long eyelet strap detailing. For that added bit of splash, it also comes with a leopard print lining. The price tag, however, might just be more than the cost of your festival ticket, at £235. Sold exclusively in the UK and the USA, they will also be available online, along with a waiting list from 1 May, at jimmychoo.com.
