Galliano honoured

His autumn/winter collection in 1992 was inspired by Napoleon and Josephine, and now John Galliano has been appointed a knight of the French Legion of Honour, an award established by the emperor in 1802. The order, divided into five categories, is the highest decoration one can receive in France. As a ‘chevalier', or knight, of the Legion of Honour - the lowest honour in the division - the Paris-based designer will receive a badge on a red ribbon, to be worn on the left side of the chest. Already a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), we wonder whether Mr. Galliano, known for his flamboyant costumes when taking his end-of-show bows on the runway, will wear something outré, or stick to a traditional three-piece suit.
