Erin Fetherston set to shoot a short film starring Juliette Lewis.

American fashion designer Erin Fetherston is swapping her needle and thread for a director's chair with news that she is set to shoot a short film.  The New York-based designer is expected to start making the flick this week in the city's West Village, featuring Oscar-nominated actress and current front woman of rock band The Licks, Juliette Lewis. The film will also feature pieces from the designer's autumn/winter '09 collection, with Roc-A-Fella Records mogul Damon Dash producing the soundtrack, according to WWD. No further details have been announced.

In other Erin Fetherston news, it is also reported that the 28-year-old is set to design a capsule collection for shopping channel and web-based store QVC, although it is unconfirmed whether this will be available in the UK. It is understood that the range will launch in September to coincide with New York Fashion Week and follows the designer's previous collaboration for American high street store Target.
