Not content with being an actress in the most successful film franchise in history (Harry Potter, in case you hadn't guessed) and having just landed a coveted place at the prestigious Brown University in the United States, Emma Watson is rumoured to be turning her hand to fashion designing.

The 19-year-old Harry Potter star is believed to be close to clinching a deal with ethical and fair-trade fashion brand People Tree to design a collection of teenage clothing to launch later this year. The British actress, who was recently unveiled as the face of Burberry, is reportedly in talks with the London-based firm and is expected to confirm the deal within weeks.

A source told the Daily Mail, "She's a big supporter of ethical concepts so liked the idea of this. There's also a lot of interest from other influential brands since her success as the face of Burberry. Acting is always going to take priority, but she's keen to branch out."

Watson's style credentials have been on the up ever since she was spotted front row at London Fashion Week back in February in a series of chic outfits. Her recent deal with Burberry and numerous appearances in magazine editorials have only seen her fashion stock rise.

People Tree is currently stocked at Topshop and online at peopletree.co.uk.
