Chanel “fashmob” to hit London
Channel Coco Chanel this week at the first fashion flashmob at St Pancras Station.
Vintage fashion website Queensofvintage is calling all Chanel lovers to join the first ever fashion flashmob (or "fashmob") this week to celebrate the UK launch of the new film biopic Coco Before Chanel starring Audrey Tautou.
Taking place this Thursday 30 July from 6pm at London's St Pancras International Train Station, all participants will gather at the bronze statue of the kissing lovers on the second floor of the station at the Eurostar terminal to pay homage to the French designer. All you have to do is wear your favourite pieces by the Parisien label or a Chanel-esque outfit. You are even encouraged to come dressed as Coco Chanel herself.
Lena Weber, editor of queensofvintage.com, says, "Chanel fundamentally changed the way women dress. Her fashion has a timeless quality and is every vintage lover's dream. The Chanel fashmob will be the perfect way to celebrate a true style genius and mark the launch of the film."
What's more, queensofvintage.com is offering the first five participants to turn up a Coco Chanel biography, with the first 15 receiving a CD of the Coco Before Chanel soundtrack.
Coco Before Chanel hits UK cinemas from 31 July.
